Default Token or Coin..???

Okay folks...I need help...I went back to my new hunting grounds today, and thought I scored a nice King George II copper....when I got home and put it under my loop, I discovered something entirely different....I cannot seem to find any resource that can help me identify this coin/token....here is what I can tell you....at first glance, the reverse looks like the back of a standard "BRITANIA" George (which was why I thought I had a George in the field)...on deeper reflection, it might also be a rider on a horse...looks like the rider is carrying a sceptor with the "liberty cap" originally seen on very early US coins....there might also be small writing around the edge like you see on a George IV....the reverse I cannot make out very well, except for the follwoing clear writing "SPORTING", then under it looks like "PLAINT_ _ _", then under that "_ OTTO"....it has the same size as a King George cooper, but is a tiny bit thicker (like a large cent)....I am not sure but I think I see a date of "173X".....what the heck is this..?? Very cool whatever it is....any help?

not quite the same, but from the same group because of the wording

the font on the found coin is straight

the font on the illustration is arched

very good call though

Default WOW! Nice ID!

I think this one has been pegged. Impressive since the detail is pretty bad.

Those Hard Times tokens are great finds.

My first "large cent" was a Hard Times token.
