Hi all, I am always on this site but never post anything, so I figured this one would be good to share. Sorry if it has already been posted.

A find like that, no doubt a once in a lifetime discovery, would certainly make finding zincolns and clad a tad mundane. What a thrill.... RickO

I bet you he almost crapped himself when he found out what it was. He probably wont have to worry about money problems any more.

its said hes expected to get six-figures from the govt due to the rules regarding treasure finds. Nod bad...but I would want the entire worth of my find if I found something worth millions.

Welcome to the Forum SKB in NC from Nick in CT! Thanks for sharing that. I've been hearing about this find even from my non-metal detecting friends and family.

Talking Hating to be the skeptic, but...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/news...st-outing.html

I am sorta in the same arena with this guy...finding gold and all. Though my find was not nearly this much gold, I tend to discount this guy's story and will be the first to call him a Charlatan. Sorry for raining on the parade folks

A little jealously is duly noted. I would love a cigar box of Simon,s finds.

I saw that on another media outlet somewhere. I think he was using an Ace 250.

Cool!

It definitely is a genuine story

Although as usual, the press exaggerate the amount of the reward that David should receive.

Sounds like most Governments around the world. It doesn't matter if they were in power or not when it was lost they want what ever you might find. I admit though, it should be in a museum.
