Good job on the new hot spot, glad you're doubling your silver dime totals!! Don't worry, you'll find your silver quarter someday! HH

With the seated dime I found, that makes 12 for the year, so I actually TRIPLED my original count of 4. Anybody in the Platteville area that wants to hit the site, PM me. I am probably going back a few more times......

Congrats on the great finds! I can't even remember the last time I pulled that much silver in a day. I know it was probably 10-12 years ago.

I have a tip for you though! When taking those close up pics of silver coins, hold a piece of white paper over the camera's flash. It will keep it from washing out the details.

Keep hitting that sweet spot until it's gone, and keep us posted.

Thanks for that tip. I sometimes just use my finger to cover all or part of the flash. I actually turned the flash off. The "glow" is just from overhead kitchen lights. I took multiple pics, and that was the best one. I don't think i will ever pull enough great old coins to build a special box for pics or anything. One Merc or Rosie looks like any other. I am hoping i can take more pics of multiple finds though!! If I start finding old silver dollars, large cents, more coins from the 1800's, then i would want to take better pics I guess.
