Detector is short for "that guy with the detector"

I have been swing a detector for 30 years and locals would refer to me as that guy with the detector. In the 80's I started a BBS(before the Internet) and I used the user name Detector because everyone knew who that was. When the Internet came along I just kept using it.

Bearharold is my handle some of my friends said I was big and grouchy like a Bear and my name is Harold so they started calling me Bearharold . Also no one else has had this handle yet and makes it easy to get registered on sites cause this handle is never taken already.

Harold

My golf teacher only gave me one lesson and said that would do me for life. I kept bugging him and he told me to imagine my arms were the slings and my clubhead the pouch and to make myself into a slingshot. That was my last lesson.

Ski Whiz is a brand of snowmobile (made by Massey Ferguson) way back in the day. I always wanted one when I was younger, many years later I found one for sale not too far away from where I live so I bought it & fixed it up. Steve.

F Clef is the bass clef in written music (as the "G" clef is the treble clef)
I'm a performing/teaching bassist,so it fits! (although I'd rather be a full time detectorist!!)

I was young I had a full head of very light ( almost white ) hair, now I would be happy with any hair . I told someone at work that I used to have very light hair and they started calling me toehead. Toe for short now.

When I first adopted this "User Name", I was located in Northern Nevada (gets real cold in the winter). However, I was born and raised in Arizona, and have four sons that were all born in AZ.
= CoolAzDad.......

Thankfully I am now back in sunny Arizona (I like the hunting season here much better)

I had someone from an astronomy forum I used to be on dub me as Hoser because I live in northern Michigan and they were from the southern part of the state. And it has stuck ever since. They said I reminded them of one of the McKenzie brothers.........EH!

I love finding what I am looking for, i.e. rocks, gold, relics, wild mushrooms, good fish'n spots, and whatever is under my search coil, and when ever I am successful in my endeavour, I always say aloud or quietly to myself,
"Yes, found it"

My user name "Michigan Badger" was given to me by a member of another forum back about 6 years ago.

Until then I simply went by "Minelab" due to being a Minelab buff all the way.

How it happened was I started a thread about a lumber camp I had found. I was digging hundreds of pounds of iron relics and the site looked like a war zone.

As I recall the member's handle was "Gypsy." She wrote something like: "You dig like a badger up there in Michigan" (or words to that affect). Others ran with it and it was a big joke so I decided to adopt the handle for my forum memberships.

Today this is the only forum with the one and only true Michigan Badger.

Gander:
Back in 1970, I used to be a heavy user on the C.B. radio. My handle was Gander. Later on when I had a family, my wife was the Goose, and my kids gooslin (daughter) and goslin (son). Gander is a male goose, but my last name is a male duck, I didn't want to be a Mallard and already a Drake, so I call myself... Gander.

Funny thing about Gander (me) is, I can't hardly swim a lick and when I do, I swim just like a rock. Straight to the bottom.

Digger is from the fact that I like to dig up finds and the 657 is the hull number of the submarine I served on.
