Does your Blue Max 600 coil sound like the coils inside can shift slightly? I can hear mine move a little when I shake the coil.

I don't have a Blue Max 600, but the coil should not sound as if there is something moving inside. It'll register a false everytime you move it if there is something loose.

Howdy Stang1968 I am a die hard Tesoro guy but had a White's Eagle II SL earlier this summer. It came with the stock 950 coil (didn't like it at all) and the Blue Max 600 coil, the Blue Max 600 coil was great. Give Whit'es a call and let them know about your coil, they are a great company & am sure they will know whats up with your coil. Steve.

I already plan on sending my XLT for a tune up/trouble shooting so I may as well include the BM600 and the standard coil as well.

Muhuhahaha..... I fixed my coil. I split the case with a good utility knife and then opened it up. A foam disk that holds the coils and tranistors was compressed one one side. Probably caused by dropping on edge or in transit. Anyways, I used cardboard to shim the foam back into place so that it cannot wiggle. Re-assembled and everything looks ok so far. I just need to come up with a good sealant for the coil again.

The black stuff they spray in trucks to make bedliners is tough.

Two-part epoxy works great too.
Kudos for doing the job yourself

Any specific recommendations? I have some JB Weld, but that is "steel". I dont know how metallic it really is, but figured something else would probably work better.
