Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes to try to make my own gear.

Default Hem...

I like the storage in the handle. I'm working on a coin tumbler and a new headlamp mod..

Hey Rusthunter, (cough - go commercial), If you want to make extra diggers and sell them, let us know. I'm always looking for a better mouse trap. (No, wait, I'm always looking for a new digging tool cause I forget where I left the last one!) Sounds like there's enough interest for you to get a side line going. I'll sent you a PM. Curt

Not much, I sent it off to get someone else's opinion, not sure if I want to go with the bicycle grip/handguard or make the handguard a part of the actual digger, oh the decisions I have to make in life:

what type metal? Is it heat treated? I had to heat treat mine to make it strong enough to last.

heat treat doesn't work well with 304 it will anneal the steel ( make it softer) if not done correctly. May be better to gusset or slightly crease the center of the blade to add strength and prevent the blade from bending when prying.

Cool digger, at least you have a backup plan.

P.S. how much you want for one?
