I'm pretty set on buying a ACE 250, now my next question is, what are the different heads, and what do they do?
Why the different heads, and what do they do? How is the "stock" head on the ACE 250? |

To keep it simple. The smaller heads are for areas with a lot of trash. It allows for detection of the good targets that would otherwise be masked by the trash. Larger coils are for areas relatively clear of trash and allow for detection at deeper depth. Also larger coils are good for relic hunting, since they detect at a deeper depth. Hope this helps.
![]() The "stock" coil is a compromise between the two. __________________ |

I think Rich explained your question pretty well. Good luck and HH! __________________ The land is a treasure chest, your detector the key.

Welcome to the forum! Rich did explain things well.
If you really want to get a second head, get a small one first. __________________ |
