Default Advice on the EXcelerator 6" Vs 8" Coil

Hey everybody,
I currently own an EXcelerator 5"DD, 10"DD and 10x12 SEF. The 10" and the 10x12SEF are very similar in trashy areas with the 10" giving a little more separation but not as much depth as the SEF. I absolutely HATE my 5" because it takes me forever to search a trashy area and I don't hit that sweet spot of 7-10" where I find most of the classic (non-clad) coins.

So, I am thinking about selling my 10" and my 5" for something in between.

If I were to pick between the 6" or the 8" EXcelerator DD's which one should I buy for the trashy areas to get more depth? I'm leaning towards the 8". Any thoughts out there?

And I don't generally hunt the tot lots because of copper wire bits and the fact that Boise changes the chips every couple of seasons.

TIA.

-Mark
