Default 1838 House Reluctantly Gives up the Goods

New post on Detecting.us...

1838 House Reluctantly Releases These Finds

The house looked perfect. As soon as I put my coil to the ground I knew my day was going to be a tough one. Iron filled soil immediately nulled out my machine and I had to switch to the slow, brutal two-tone ferrous approach for the rest of the day. I started out late morning in 48F mist and the weather improved through the day. Even though I was sore and tired, it was still a great day to hunt.

I still thought the site would give up more indians and some more silver. But given the conditions, I was lucky to get what I did!

1844 Large Cent
1870 Shield Nickle
1893 Barber Dime
1942 Washington Silver Quarter
Cross Pendant (intriguing… research underway)
1927 Bourbon County Dog Pendant (not shown)
Unusual Brass Ring
