Some of you know me I been on the forum for about a year plus now. For the new people check out HistoricMapWorks , I type that in the browser then my county and state it leads me to different years of plat maps, It is the way to find old towns as you look at newer and newer plat maps you can locate the towns by roads that become named in plat maps. I went to two old towns that are barely existant now didn't find much wish we had a weed wacker with us. Met a owner of part of the old rail road line from Carson City in Montcalm to Vickeryville. Harold Kellogg owns the elevators in Carson City and he and his brother own a lot of the old track area for the railroad from CC to Vickeryville. Maybe it was Butternut that they own to. The guy I met from Craigslist that used my M6 found a railroad spike and left it there. Wish he had told me he found one I wouldn't mind having one to show now and then. Harold told us they buried the depot in CC on site. In the year they took it down few were detecting so it could be good ground for detecting. Harold asked me about trying to find his brother's classring lost in 1966 but hasn't emailed me yet . would like to go looking for it with a few people he has a good idea where it is in a 50 foot stretch of road.

Owosso, MI. I started hunting the past summer with my new ace 250 and was instantly hook. Hoping to get a pin pointer soon to help speed things up a bit. Would like to find someone to hunt with.

I am in between you-all.

I live in the Irish Hills near Cambridge Junction/Brooklyn.

State Parks and some odd spots and retrieved a lost arrow.

I have a lot to learn.

Just the Michigan Treasure Hunters that I linked to a couple posts up. They meet in Livonia each month and have various club hunts in between wherever someone wants to sponsor one.
