Default pipe bowl- hippy 60's, 1900's carnival, 1800's ?

found this bowl on the bank of a creek while i was detecting.
60's hippy era,1900's carnival win, 1800's ?
any thoughts or ideas on age?

I would take this to some local antiquarians. Pipes with patterns like that can be pegged to a maker, and a lot of this stuff was local/regional makers. It is definitely hand made for the regular guy pipe smoker.

i'll put it with my other 19th c. stuff in a glass case. i will also try to track down the maker.

I have only ever found broken stem pieces. That is a nice piece.

Looks like a trade pipe, common in the 1800's from mountainman/french trader era through indian wars to me, you can purchase similar on Ebay in civil war era pipes
