I dont want to steal your thunder but I did the same thing once long ago, I was a young, tough and harder than woodpecker lips Fleet Marine Force Corpsman and I decided that I was not going to the base clinic for a couple of sutures on a saturday morning and I would do it myself (rambo sews himself) my laceration was on my left index finger and I put the needle thru both sides only to find out with a laceration on my finger I can not tie knots with one hand! lucky for me I had a buddy finish the job. In retrspect I learned a few things

1: stitches without lidocaine hurt like hell
2: I can not tie knots one handed.
3: I am not as smart as I once thought I was!

Those angle grinders can really bite. I usto go through them with my metal work fairly frequently and would always buy the cheap ones with no safety trigger. These days i realize medical bills are expensive, so those safety triggers are well worth having. Got my hand once also while using a wire wheel not to mention the countless wire needles iv picked out of my legs from using wire wheels on them as well. Glad your ok and smart/ watchfull about the risk of infection, get well soon.

Ouch that doesn't look fun at all. As bad as it is though I guess you can be thankful it wasn't worse (ie. you still have a finger). Speedy recovery and may the gold and silver build up in your absence!

Had a couple close calls with metal cutting wheels over the years. My truck has a little extra "Blood, sweat and tears"built into it. Most dangerous lately seems to be those cordless cicular saws.Guys buy them and go right to cutting something like plywood that binds them up easily using one hand.Guy i know left his index finger laying in a HD parking lot!
Speedy recovery! Remember! Sharks can also smell white blood cells when it is healing for miles.I had to let a foot injury heal two weeks earlier this year. Also all that bacteria from sewage plants was a deterrent they dump in the ocean
