Default What bottle is this? #2

Well here's one bottle I got out of the dump right when I was finishing up. It's a very nice cobalt blue I like it. It's covered in ribs and on the sides are divided into twos making this bottle 6 sided.

Also: Anyone know how to make these images bigger? Using Flickr.

Default Possible poison

Very nice find. That could be a poison bottle. Very collectible. Poisons were ribbed and made in different shapes. This let any person know right away that it was different and was poison. Some poisons are triangle shaped. Congrats

Thanks for the info, hope it is a poison. That would be worth going up there a few times.

This bottle had multiple uses. Medicine in pill form and chemicals intended for medicinal use. phillips milk of magnesia had their own bottle and this isnt it. I dont remember the bottle makers name, but there wasnt a specific company that used this kind of bottle.
You can get between $25 and $50 for it.

a from of a mag. bottle. If it were a poison bottle it'd have the scull and crossbones or say in very embossed POINSON. Nice bottle tough.

So IMS, would this bottle be like a generic brand of milk of magnesia?

I was wrong...that would be a generic poison bottle, denoted by the ribbing and fred sanford... normally there's a flat space for a label and the rest is ribbed... if you google cobalt ribbed poison bottle, you'll see quite a few different bottles.

few on ebay:

Ah cool. Even if it's a generic poison it's still cool.
