Default Major Low Tide at Malibu - LOTS of Dollars Found!

This is what I want when I think LOW TIDE .. ACRES and ACRES of wet sand but NOT ONE STINKIN TARGET in the time I had to hunt.. except for these eyeball finds....

Did much better in the dry. Drop dead beautiful day yesterday.

Know what you mean Bob! It was just beautiful up here, so I fired up the PI and hit the wet/water and hardly had a signal! Couple of other hunters out, all with the same result...NADA! But as one if them said, it was a great "Hobby Day" to just be swinging!!

If I'm reading my tide tables correctly, it's supposed to be even lower today and tomorrow. I've gotta get down to the beach. Too bad my Sand Shark is still at Tesoro.

Those sand dollars are beautiful. One of my favorite things to pick up on the beach.

I used to take the kids to beach when they were little and get a bucket full of sand dollars, dry them out and then paint them for decorations to hang on the christmas tree. Just last sunday the 7th I took my daughter now 24 out to an Island beach and we found several and we talked about when we did it 15 years ago. I still have the ones from back then and shes going to paint some new ones for the tree. It was a great day and brought back great memories...GL+HH.....cliff.

Same here in Southbay, hit several beaches over the weekend for low tide only to find sanded in conditions

Yea that -77' tide is enticing, guessing by the trend the last few days, I'm predicting more sanded in conditions and scarce targets..

Regardless, GL Bob if you go out!

Bob....cool sand dollars. If nothing else, we here in So. cal. have some very nice scenery at the beaches. And in the summer time I'm not just talking about the sand, sun, ocean and waves

Went back for about 1 1/2 hours today .. same nice low tide .. sanded in, no targets in the wet.

Not as much today in the dry.. getting the greenies all the lightweight machines and operators miss.. about $3

Wife went .. she must have 60 perfect sand dollars. Huge ones. Resident at a house at the tideline said he had not seen so many on the beach since he was a kid.

Cool sand dollars, and that beach sure looks inviting! I may come back and look at these pics again and again as the snow will be flying soon!

I used to love looking for sand dollars when I was a kid. Sorry you didn't find much in the way of metal targets.
