Default Can't wait, V3i is on the way!!!!!!!

I just bought a V3i to go along with my MXT Pro and it will arrive in a couple more days. I am anxious to give it a try. I am sure the V will be worth the wait. I have watched the videos at least twice already. I think it will be great having the wireless headphones too. I know it is a great coin machine but how is it on relics? I have a CW encampment near me that is owned by family and I want to do some detecting there even though it has been detected a lot. Thanks gang, I'm just excited to add a V to my arsenal.

WTG on an awesome machine. You'll love it!

The relic program will probably be the best program but, if you're looking for iron then perhaps the C/J program will be better.

Either way just set up a custom program that works the best for you.

You can also go over to the Whites site & look for Fox's Custom programs.

Also, please join the V3I Drivers group & post pix's of your finds.

I have family in Anniston (Calhoun Cty), not sure if your up that way or not.

HH!

I have a MXT Pro and want the V3I.

Please post up detailed review after you've used it in spots you've hunted before.

It's pretty easy to use if you start out slow & use the factory programs. A good ground balance is also a must.

Start with adjusting the disc & sens to suit your needs. I use Sen's 13 & Disc down to -20.

Plenty of good comments & tips over at the White's Website in the V3i sub-forum.

I have been wanting to upgrade for awhile now. I love the MXT Pro too, it's a great detector. I couldn't make up my mind what to get but decided to stick with a whites because I can use all of my current coils with the V3i too. Maybe you can get you one too pretty soon. I will be posting some more after I get the hang of it. HH.

Thanks for the tips, I will join the group for sure. Yes I am about an hour or so from Anniston. Anniston is a little southeast of me. Catch you later on the forums. Thanks again. HH.

I hope you like the V3i more than I did. My first MD was a MXT and I became very good with it when I decided to step up to a V3i. I will admit that I didn't give it enough time to learn it and quickly became frustrated with the new sounds and all of the settings. I gave up and went back to a MXT Pro. Now a year later I have tried the etrac, Vaquero, T2, x-terra 705 and still like the MXT Pro best. Either way you will have two great machines. Good luck with it.

Congrats on the great detector! It does very well with relic hunting too. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

BTW: I'm just across the state line from you in NW GA (Rome area). Also have relatives in Anniston.

Default good choice in a machine

Just stay with using the v3i. You will learn more every time you use it. It is truly an amazing machine. I think that the only way that White's could improve it would be to make it waterproof, and I would almost bet that White's is working on making that feature a reality.

Congratulations on a fine selection of machines. whites is second to none on service which is very important after the sale. Be prepared to increase your finds. Don't be overwhelmed by all the capabilities it has. Happy hunting.
