Default Ten Rings and a Watch!

A friend and I camped out at the lake recently and got 2 full days of detecting in. Even though I found 5 rings each day, none, apparently, have any gold content. Late in the 2nd day I got a large, shallow target and reached down and pulled up a watch with my hand! It's not an expensive watch but it was still working so it must be of decent quality.
My buddy found 6 rings, two of them gold. We both found an amazing number of coins, especially considering the amount of time we've hunted here in the past 2 months. I had a record 106 quarters on this trip!

Lots of fishing tackle on the first day of hunting. I only used the Excal 2 on day one.

On day two I mostly used the 1280-x Aquanaut. Odd that all my larger rings were all found on the second day.

Lots of silver rings but it would have been nice to get some gold. My streak is over so it's time to start a new one!

This is the first watch I have found in a while and one I can use. It was a lot of work cleaning it up as there was debris in between all the joints of the wristband.
It was a memorable trip for both of us. The weather was great and water warm enough to hunt without wetsuits. I took some videos of the hunt that I will post after editing. HH!

That's what I would call a successful trip. Congratulations on finding all the rings. You're lucky if you find 1 or 2, but ten! Outstanding!

Looks like you have a fun camping trip. I have a fat silver ring like the one. Those are some fine looking rings.

Those are some nice rings. Several of them I wouldn't mind wearing. That red & white fishing lure is a Daredevil. If its not rusty has resale value if you aren't a fishermen.

Very nice outing! What I wouldn't give for a camping trip like that dedicated to metal detecting. Awesome hunts and congrats on your success. HH

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Yes Sonny b, being able to camp at a hot spot is the ultimate trip for me. I was able to hunt at night on the first day and before the sun came up on the second. Even after 2 days of constant digging it was hard to leave! HH!
