Need help on my 1896 indian head

I just found about an hour ago and was wondering if it was in good condition. If possible whether or how I could clean it.

Here are the pictures of the front and back. Let me know what you guys think.

That looks great...just wash and use a toothpick to remove any of the dirt around the edges. HH

That's about as good as it will get. Put it in a coin holder and treasure it!

Earlier this year I found a second silver Voyager dollar...it was in a necklace holder ring. The ring was probably plated because only copper was left
Was cleaning it up and broke the suspension loop off the top...wished I had left it alone.

Don't clean them past getting the mud off or they lose their value.

I would just wash the dirt off with soap and water and leave it alone. THAT is a NICE one. I hope one day to fill my coin album... THAT would be AWESOME!!! HH \_ to all

Yeah I think if you tried olive oil or peroxide that it would look worse, leave it be. Congrats!

I'd wash with warm water, dish soap and a soft toothbrush. Then, use a toothpick to pick out the remaining dirt. Dry immediately. I usually rub a tiny amount of parafin wax on it as the last step to give it a nice shine.

here is the other one that I found. After comparing it to the one I found the other day... it really looks really different and fishy...

I clean mine with olive oil and a tooth pick. Allow to soak over night in olive oil, soak the toothpick too and then start getting the dark off. The olive oil will get underneath any dirt and help lift it up. The toothpick won't scratch the coin or remove patina.
