I've been divorced for 41 years . . .right after I got back from Vietnam. Been pretty much of a loner ever since. At least I can detect when I want and buy a detector when I want. Detecting is something that you can do by yourself and it gives you time to think things out.

Sorry to hear about this. Its refreshing to see others offering to help; this has restored my faith in human race. This is sad hearing of two MD'ers divorcing in one week. Is their something about the hobby that causes rifts in marriages? Heck I'm still single, but have been hoping not to be that way forever. Now I'm wondering if the hobby turns people off? Oh well nobody was interested before I got into detecting either so probably won't make any difference for me. I do like having the freedom to take off digging or fishing when I like without having to get permission from anyone.

I feel for ya bro...dont know the situation, but i know its rough my wife left me 2 weeks befor a major back surgery, said she didnt want to be married to a cripple. well surgery went well, Ive got my kids (most important thing to me) divorce was final 1-27-12, was married 18yrs. and though not the happiest all the time, detecting sooths my mind during the low times. If it wasnt for detecting I would of gone nuts. Just hang in there, things in the beginning are the worst but they do get better. If possible keep the detector, its good therepy along with the peeps on this forum. Ive met and chatted with quite a few and it is another family to me. lots of stranegrs with big hearts and caring souls. Iam so glad this forum is here and greatful for the members...good luck.....cliff.

Ski....is this the car you just got back at tax time....what's going on with it now.?
