Speaking of avatars ... I have NO idea what this thread is about. In fact, I have yet to actually read one of Utah_T-Hunter's posts. Can't seem to move my eyes past his avatar.

Anyone who is honest enough to claim the clad that they dug up with their metal detector belongs in the Priesthood.

If they wanted a cut then youd be able to offset your equipment, gas, trash handling, medical costs for band aids, probably cover the cost of numerous showers and massage to loosen you up ready for the next 7 hour day of traipsing around the woods trying to get attacked by all the critters so you can find a silver quarter valued at less then $2....if we had to lay this lot down we'd still be under the $600 a year minimum requirment...wel except for chicagoron maybes...

Income from a hobby is taxable. You can deduct expenses related to the hobby, up to the amount of income from the hobby, but only if you file Schedule A, Itemized deductions. I made a little income from another hobby, but couldn't deduct any of the expenses because I didn't have enough overall deductions to file Sched. A. (the standard deduction was more than I could find to itemize, since I didn't have mortgage interest)

I could actually put this hobby as a business under my LLC and claim a loss this year... Might just do it too.. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

I never find clad to report taxes on and this is not a supplemental income. I am positive that I haven't broken even with money spent on batteries alone, much less supplemented an income...LOL

I know the milk industry is spending some serious coin on pushing chocolate milk as a exercise supplement. (before a run, or after a work out). the soy, almond, and coconut milks (besides soda/bottled water) has eroded the amount of milk americans drink per person/per year.

What do you make of this -- I'm on Social Security and I was told I don't have to file taxes UNLESS I make a $1000 extra in a month (over my check amount). HA! Dream on -- I'm lucky to find $10 in a month in clad and what doesn't get used in laundry money goes back into the economy -- I spend it! So I'm helping put money back where it goes (making the government have to make less coins to put out there). It's getting recycled!

Yeah and did you hear that (I think it was in NY, not sure) that they are trying to get restaurants to only serve 16 oz drinks (no more big gulps etc.) to help cut down on the obesity in the nation!!!

That means if it goes through -- there'll be no more "supersizing" your drinks at places like McDonalds, Burger King etc. Sure I can see that going through! NOT!

The Gee oh vee doesn't want to see our paperwork! Imagine the print it would take to go into detail about all those pulltabs we dug and donated to schools.Counseling we gave to new members when they didn't find "The good stuff!"first time out like the commercials so they'd cheer up! Lost wages when our detectors were down? The Gee oh vee would owe us too many deductions
