Default Dumb Question?

Hey everyone, I'm not sure if I'm in the right place or not, but I was wondering if there's anyone who lives near Broomfield Colorado that might be kindhearted enough to take 15 minutes of search time to help me find my wedding ring that I lost. My uncle is a pro hunter/metal detector freak in Florida who makes a good living doing so. He suggested I find a forum like this one and ask for help so here I am.

I stupidly lost the ring swimming with our dog in about 1-2 feet of water with a soft mucky bottom. I've laid on my belly in the water and tried feeling around for it, and I've waited for the water to clear and used my snorkel gear to search but still cant find it. I know it's right there but hidden. Grrrrrrrr!

Is there anyone who might be able to help me find it?

Thanks!

Todd

There are no dumb questions, just sometimes dumb answers.
But in any case, from time to time I see ads on Craigslist in my area for help in finding wedding rings. So you might try putting an ad in Craigslist. It's likely most detectorists in your area will not charge you anything. We just enjoy helping people in these situations. Twice I answered ads to help find rings. I contacted the owners and searched for the rings but was unlucky both times. Sometimes the person is just not sure where they actually lost it.
But at least in one of those searches I was able to locate a surveyor's metal stake buried about 1 foot under the grass. So all was not lost.

Good Luck

I found this ring today. The guy who lost it hit me up via email. I found it in about 10 minutes. Got on here to post about it and add some pics.

Love the new avatar Digger! Hope all is well. I haven't been hunting much so it was good to get out. We need to meet up and hunt in the next couple weeks now that you have a normal job
I have 2 places we should hit.
