Default Slow start ended well!

I started out the day at a new location that I had never been to but found it on google earth. First dig(pic 1) was some sort of hardware maybe from an horse harness or something? It was pretty corroded so my guess is it's old. A few pennies later and then I hit a good signal about 6" down. I hit the object with my digger and start pulling up really thin pieces of metal and glass. I finally pull out what appears to be part of an old lantern. the only thing really salvaged was the very top which looked at it if threaded on. Note to self, dig bigger plug next time and go slow. Had a bunch more very large targets but they were too deep for me this fine morning. I'm guessing some farm implement items perhaps. Once we get some rain I may head back and try again. The rest of the hunt was nothing special. Headed home early to see if the wife and kids were up.

After getting home, waking the troops, eating breakfast, we all head to another park for some freshair and playtime. I took the MD and I'm glad I did. In a little over an hour I had almost a $1 in clad, two cubscout neckerchief slides and a junk ring, along with a few other items. These are my first slides so I was pretty excited. The ring and slides all were found within 10 feet of each other. Anyway, prob heading back again soon to hit the rest of the area. Once I get the slides cleaned up I'll post them again. I am stoked!

GL & HH,
IASS

The slide on the right looks a little older to me.
