Default Need help deciding on upgrading to AT PRO

I have myself 95% talked into upgrading, but I guess I just wanted to get some "professional" opinions first. I currently have an ace 250 with an 10 x 14 Elliptical Double D EXcelerator EQ2 Pro Seach Coil. I have no trouble finding items. I just wonder what I am missing out on. Would I notice a huge difference by buying an at pro? (other than the waterproof qualities which sure would be nice) Thanks!

The waterproof part of the AT is freaking awesome to say the least!

On top of that I think the higher frequency and increased recovery speed of the pro will make a difference for you.

The AT Pro nails even tiny pieces of Gold hard. I'm way impressed!

All found since april 10 with my AT Pro, I don't count silver anymore.

Nice gold Iron! You hunting beaches or??

Feel free to give me a call about your AT Pro questions. I have many hours experience swinging one and can help. I personally love them. The 5X8 DD coil REALLY opens them up!

In the water while its not frozen up here Bart, lakes and rivers. The 10k blue sapphire ring was found in dry sand on a beach.

Those are nice finds!!! I have a AT PRO and like it but getting rid of it but has nothing to do with its ability to find stuff..I just dont need 3 when I have my 705 and 3030.

AT PRO is a great choice for you tho.

Good luck,
MIKE

Thanks for the opinions; The more I research, the more confused I get! I just can't look past the waterproof qualities of the at pro, so I think I made up my mind. Thanks again!

I'm not sure an upgrade is going to bring much better results. Sometimes coil upgrades are as good. Depends on where you hunt.

I have a fisher f4 that I love. I upgraded to a White's mxt pro. I went to a park that I know and searched it with the whites detector and found the same things I found with the f4.

The response time of the ace series is what is causing you to miss things. The response on the f4 is amazing and with the DD coil it is quick to separate junk from keepers.

Just my opinion. I do not think my upgrade is going to improve my results because of the way I hunt and where I hunt.

Congrats on a great purchase. You will be pleased. Any questions just feel free to ask any of the many AT users including myself.

I own 2 AT Pros, one for the wife when I went to the etrac, and I hunted one down on craigslist for myself again. I did the same thing, 250 to pre ordering the ATPro and man it was a HUGE difference! Once I mastered the AT Pro, went and got the etrac, but still am partial to the AT Pro over the etrac. Of course I am still learning the etrac....

I have started considering selling the etrac and getting a dedicated water machine for salt water. This would leave the AT Pro as my primary land machine.
