Hi there, don't cha know? A cheesehead, eh? Well how about you just come on over and maybe we can fix you up with some Lutheran hot dish and some cherry jello with bananas. Yah sure, you betcha!
 Anyway, I'm in the SW Metro (Eden Prairie) and for work travel throughout the Midwest. I've had some luck MDing in Wisconni but haven't stopped in LaCrosse, yet. I think there were some posts last year about someone detecting where road construction was going on and old sidewalks were being torn out. Seems like they were finding a lot of old coins! __________________

Yeah I have to find out where the best places to really search. Today I just hit a park nearby just to kinda get the feel for my detector. After 3-4 hrs I kind of have an idea as to how to really use it effectivly. Now... I just have to find the best way to dig with out causing too much of a mess or for it to take me so much time to locate the junck (so far anyway)

I'm going to pick up an ACE 250 in the next couple of weeks and try and get back into this. I used to go out alot when i was a kid with and old bounty hunter and then a lower end Compass. Was always a good time once you got over the pestering and or ridicule by passerbys.
If anyone wants to team up let me know. I travel to Western Wi quite a bit for work as well

Wow!
After starting the thread I continuously checked it and never got any responses... for awhile anyways. Then kinda gave up checking all the time. Now check it out, wow!
Ok guys, I'm still pretty new to the hobby, and would appreciate a comrade for hunting. I'm located in the north suburbs of the cities, willing to drive a little. Lets plan something folks. I'll be honest, it's either that or pretty darn sure I'll be selling all of it. I'd like to keep it all, but the better half had some unforseen medical issues arise and need to get some of the bills taken care of. She seems to be pretty precise that the newly acquired hobby could pay a good portion of it. Help me out folks lets make something of it! Till then, happy hunting! Adam

Hello...
I am located in Minneapolis. New to the hobby as of yesterday. I went to talk to Tom at Minneapolis Detectors. Really helpful and good prices on his stock. He turned me on to Gopher State Treasure Hunters.
Any help/advice is also appreciated here from fellow Minnesotans. Happy Hunting! RD42

Im new to this site and glad to see other people from Minnesota here. I NEVER run into or see other detectorists in the field, and would love to go out on a hunt with some of you sometime.

Lets plan.
Anyone available Friday or Saturday August 1st and 2nd? Anytime? I currently work Sunday through Thursdays, so these would be soonest to get out. Open to more ideas...
And welcome to the forum guys. I'm new myself, so nice to see more people as always. MCH02: I have yet to see anyone out and about either lol.

I am not free this weekend but I think some weekend this fall we should try and get as many people as possible from the area together and hunt some park that is within reasonable distance for all of us. Sounds like there are at least five or six of us that live within the twin cities metro area that could make the drive. Just a thought.
