Not sure if this posted or not having issue uploading pix.
But found this old stove/heater at 6" deep no marking. Found at old home 1800's in S.C. Any idea on age or type? Thanks |

That looks like part of a oil lamp. The slot in the middle is where the wick slid up and down.

Yep it is definately from an oil lamp. I have found many at old house sites in fields where old houses once stood. You need to slow down and take another look at your site.
