07-01-2012 Beach hunt sets yearly goal

Headed down the shore for a (2) two hour hunt. Found the earring (fake of course), $1 coin and (23) clad coins total. Hunted the dry beach line. Wished I had found more but was happy to get out and get some swing time in.

Also the clad pushed my yearly total over a 100 bucks. So the 1st phase of my goal is accomplished. Next goal is 1500 coins.



Was so hot out, swamp a$$ etc... but at least I found the time to hunt the sand.
Hope more of you been able to get out there. Stay hydrated.

Wasnt too bad. Went out after dinner. Our beach was still packed with people when I arrived. Lotsa weird stares but noone approached. Surprisingly I was the only one swinging.

Man, Cant remember being back below 1500 coins. I'm up somewhere around 3300 or so with $174 and change. We dig LOTS of pennies up here, especially around the schools where we have been hitting them hard to clean them out. Still have a few to work over. Congrats on the $100.00 mark. Just too dang hot for me to even think about scanning any time after about 8am and since I work from 4am till??? 2-3pm. Not much going on on weekdays and weekends, I wanna sleep in. 7 weeks and not even .5 of an inch of rain. Our corn has now curled its leaves which means its done for. Sweet corn prob gonna be $4 a dozen or more. Terrible summer here in southern Wis.
Keep scanning. Never know when that surprise will pop into your hand from the ground.
