Sorry, I can't my darned phone camera won't zoom in very well. I will try to use a monacle and reproduce the characters.. it's just three symbols..

I let a military guy take a look at the ring and he said it was a R.O.K Marine's ring for sure (Republic of Korea).

I'm going to look into trying to consign the ring... I checked a few places and they say it's worth about $161 in melt value.. but it's too cool to melt.. maybe on consignment I can double that and get $300?

Worth a try.. will sell for melt value if I get desperate..

great way to start using the mxt, thats a nice ring, it will help a lot paying your detector

We have to use the machine we like best, and the mxt is a winner. Have fun!

maybe a jeweler can help, don't go straight away for melting

seriously, what is consigning a ring? So far in my country I've never heard of anyone giving a pre-owned ring to another guy to help them sell? where do you guys even find such services?

Well, there is a furniture consignment store in Campbell CA that also has a large selection of jewelry on consignment.. the way it works is that they set a price and then I get 60% of the sale and they get %40 (this is how the explained it) They appraised it at $465 and told me that when it sells I will get at a minimum $230 which is better than the $161 melt value I would have gotten

well nope its still too blurry - but if you're satisfied that's great

can't identify the characters since korean is made up of characters and all of them are right-angled. way too blurry.

I recently traded a computer for a second MXT and now I am thinking about trading BOTH my MXT's for a Spectra V3i - I've been watching the training videos on YouTube and I think my technical side wants to go that direction...

I don't have $$$ so the only way I could get a V3i is through trading.. I bet you guys think I am a flea market Gypsy lol... anyways wish me luck.. I hope it works out..

Well I wish you luck in trading 2 MXT for a V3i. I think it would be easyer to sell them both and than search for a V3i.
I just upgraded to the V3i and will be delivered tomorrow, so I am soooooo happy.
I just couldn't let go of the MXT and I am keeping it for my wife (yeah right), I am trying to bring her in the MD hobby, even if it is not easy.

Good luck in your quest, personally I think you are making the right choice. Only thing I want to tell you is that from all I have read and seen the V3i is a machine that is hard to master. You need to give it time.

P.S. I just love whites...

I'm worried that if I sell both the MXT's my wife will try to get her hands on the cash... or force me to use it to pay bills or some other stuff she wants.. with a trade.. she has no power lol..

Plus if I sell them I will be out a detector for X amount of time until I can find a V3i priced right..
