When I check my weapon the police never see it. I put it in a safe and take the key with me.

Several things for everyone that want to own a weapon and feel they ARE responsible enough to follow the rules and be safe.

1)Find a weapon you can handle.
2)Take a weapons retention class.
3)I greatly recommend a handgun with a magazine disconnect.
4)Buy and use a trigger lock if you have children.
All good points! The safe thing is pretty cool.

One way they are trying to control gun ownership is through the sale and manufacture of ammo..Look at the prices of ammo, some ammo is seldom in stock.Sonnydigs

I just got my gun for ccw a few weeks ago. Been practicing and getting used to the gun before I get my permit. 400 rounds thru it and not a single problem. I love this gun! Now gotta find a good IWB holster.

Nice Mikie. Yeah Glocks are like the AK-47 of handguns. I used to be a die hard 1911 guy and made fun of the ugly blocky "tupperware wonders". But after seeing how reliable and durable they are, I've had a change of heart. The Glock is one of my favorite handguns now.

Here's mine. I just picked up an Advantage Arms 22 conversion kit for it last month.

I wanted a Gen4, but they wanted too much. The Gen3 I got already had night sites, and came with an extra mag. That is a nice gun Rattle.

Thanks. I would have been happy with a Gen 3 since I don't even use the backstraps, but they only had Gen4s at the shop so thats what I got.

I gotta get used to not pulling my shirt up to wipe sweat once I start carrying. Always have a towel with me but sometimes I get lazy and use my shirt. Would be a bad day to get in trouble for brandishing a firearm by accident.

I carry a Glock 17 Gen 4 most of the time, but if I am going to a bad part of town to work I usually carry my Colt ACP .45. Too heavy to carry out on digs for hours I would imagine.

I'd rather CCW too but it would be nice to be able to open carry in some situations.

That is 9mm correct ??Is it fully automatic. How may rounds???

On a side note an admin just emailed me and said he removed a post of mine. You can't use gun slang or certain words here?? I did not curse I just used a well known phrase about comparing guns.
