Default Etrac Backpack

I know many will say why not goto the CTX....right now I just can't afford it. And I know some will say get a dedicated water machine.....used, can't afford it

I don't get to the beach very much, maybe twice a year if that. But I wanted to protect the control box from salt spray, I have a sunray cover, but not sure if that is sufficient.

So I've found this alternative.

Has anyone on here done this? (Put an E-trac in a backpack). I don't plan on doing the waterproof box) just putting the control box in a backpack part

holy complicated batman!!

I would really be worried about having a hole in one of those bags and destroying my nice eTrac.

I think i'll stick to using my AT Pro in wet situations and my eTrac can stay nice and dry.

thanks for the interesting pictures though.

** one more note.. have you considerd trading in your eTrac for a XP deus lite? There is no control box. Everything is controlled in the headphones. so technically you could get up to your neck in water and still be safe.

I believe that I've read that VAbeach-Max owns a SE Pro, which was modified this way and with great success.

The Box option will be a safer choice than the waterproof bag.

I do worry about getting my E-Trac wet at the beach, especially with the hollow shaft that the coil wire runs to the control head.

BUT - not sure I want to start the waterproof project on this one. Pretty complicated compared to what I did with the Sovereign.
