Default Programmable metal detector???

Hi,
I have a question, since I don't live in the USA I would like to know if there is a metal detector that is programmable, like for the different coins that are found here. I mean i don't understand why they haven't made a metal detector that can actually learn what you are finding by having an internal database that can be programmed by the same user.

Minelab Explorer SE and the Etrac can be programmed to your coin if you have a spare coin to use or it to "learn" it's metallic signature

Yep! I used the "LEARN" feature on my Explorer SE to put together my coin speciffic program. It works quite well.

Any machine you can notch out and id can be set to a coin.

You can do it on cutom on the at pro, get the notch your coin is showing up on and then notch out everything else and id to maximum then inscrease your sensativity to max...youll need to max out because you lose depth with the selecting process....then you should find that coin and anything close to it.

I sometimes set mine to only over 70 if i want to coin shoot a patch, knowing ill go back and do the more open scan later for nickels and anything above 40 or even 35 and lower the sens to three bars below max, the update could slow down but any beep your goping to reswing anyway to find it then do it again at 90 degrees so that will not be too hard.

And the at pro is less then 1/2 the price of the etrac
