Default Park Tot Lot Construction Site Finds

I have been hitting this site for a couple of days now and keep finding wheat cents but no silver. There has got to be some silver there and I will find it. The finds have been pretty interesting nonetheless, including a very nice 1909 wheat cent.

Great finds, surely you will find some silver with coins going back to 1909. Excellent condition for a dug wheat penny, the only one I found so far is crusted in green and nearly smooth.

Glad to see some of the "worm ate" pennies I was beginning to think that was uncommon. Seems nearly all my zincoln finds are in terrible shape (even some only 5 to 10 years old).

Nice early Wheats! You're bound to hit some Silver, though maybe it's been cherry picked.

I would find out where they took the first few inches of dirt they scooped up and carried off, and check the pile. ther's bound to be something besides copper out there.

Check the ball field too, where any blechers sat, or anywhere they served food.

Keep at it ... chances are there is some silver with those old wheat pennys showing up. Good luck in your future hunts and keep us posted. I have been hunting an old park under construction and there have been alot of silvers pulled out of there since the construction started.

Default keep at it

the sports complex of 60 acres ive been hunting since feb, this year has given me alot of goodies, isnt it funny how the zinclons rot away, the wheats ive been pulling come out in good shape, after tumbling the wheats look brand new, i was amazed how well 1982 and prior clean up. hang in there and hit the piles also, where your at the coins dont drop as deep as they do here, were mostly sand and i pull zinc at 8"....GL+HH.....cliff. check out my albums

That looks like a great site and with how dry it is, it's nice to have a place like that in your back pocket.
Congrats on the wheats.
