Default At the beach

So, a couple of weeks ago, I'm at the beach for the first time this season. Let me tell you, it was CLEAN! The signals were few and far between. Still early in the season, I know they cleaned the beach and raked the sand. Anyway, I found a cell phone and it was still on. It had to have been dropped recently. I walked up to a couple and asked them if anybody comes around looking for it, tell them "the guy with the metal detector is dropping it off at the lost and found". I kept on MDing my way to the office and about 20 minutes later, somebody put thier hand on my shoulder from behind. I was the owner of the phone. He was really happy and thanked me. Then, a couple who watched me give it back to the man, asked if I would look for a ring they dropped 20 minutes ago. I thought "sure, I'm not finding anything anyway". They showed me and area about 60 square ft. as an approximate. It took me about 20 minutes and when I reached into my scoop and held up her ring, she was crazy happy! I even got a hug out of it! All in all, I left the beach with 47 cents for my self and some good karma. I just love this hobby!

Nice going on the returns and you made those people very happy.

this karma thing ...hadn't she done some thing evil that caused her to lose the ring?? i bet she kicked a puppy. now by returning the ring you have upset the universal balance. you not giving your self good karma, you just allowing wicked people to to escape their bad karma.

Great story! I've taken to just saying "how's it going?" and then ignoring people when they come up to me (acting as if I can't hear them at all). Maybe I should listen to them once in a while, I might be able to help someone find something.

I WENT HUNTING ON MEMORIAL DAY AND STOP AT AN AREA THAT HOLDS MOSTLY LOCAL BUT ON THIS DAY I WAS APPROCHED WITH GREAT EXPECTATIONS. THIS FAMILY WAS LEAVING THE BEACH WITH LONG FACES UNTIL I SHOWED UP "Mister Mister! WILL YOU HELP FIND MY SISTER"S SILVER WATCH?
I SAID SURE WILL, WELL THEY SHOWED ME WERE THEY WERE PLAYING, SO I STARTED TO HUNT THE AREA AND FOUND THERE LOST BOTTLE CAP AND THERE PRETTY WATCH ON THE FIRST SWIPE. " RETURNED"
