Default Digital Gram Scale

I was looking at the digital gram scales on Ebay and can't believe how inexpensive they are. Are you guys/gals using these cheap scales to weigh your rings and are they any reliable ?

Yup and I love mine! Less than $10! I think JBEXPRESS has some for sale usually. I also picked mine up from Harbor Freight.

I just bought one too. Make sure you get one that's rated accurate to .01 grams, not .1 grams. Might be nice to get one that uses AAA batteries rather than some expensive hard to get kind as well.

I got mine from JB as well.... small, but excellent. Get yourself a diamond tester as well for about $14 they are worth every penny.

Got one that goes to .01 and is 100 gram. Wish I had bought 500 g so when I hit auctions I could weigh heavier silver ware and groups of jewelry. They are very accurate and it is suprising to see how much difference there is in a well worn coin when compared to its mint example. Get a jewelers loop too. I bought a 30X and it is incredible to see exactly what the mint or makers mark is with no doubt.

Ebay has consistently beat other dealers for these kids of items for me. I have a .1/500g res scale I paid barely more than $7 for and a .01/100g scale which was less than $10. jm2c. martin

They are great, small, has a small bag, and a protective cover, and are reliable.

As mentioned, make sure that you get the .01g type. - They will also measure bigger diamonds.

I got mine from this Hongkong seller: dxlight2011 - have not had any problems, and it was 7.98 with worldwide shipping. The company have .01 weights measuring up to 300g.

They are easy to operate, and you can recalibrate the scale if you need to.

HH.
