Found this at an early 1800's home site....sure is neat, anyone know what it is?

yep, pretty darn close to #225.....any idea on when it was used? I think some stuff has been dumped at this site, not much, but some things like some duct work are really out of place.....
We dug it next to the old well, my kids were voting for "some kind of weird pump handle". Thanks for the ID, much appreciated!

Probably late 1800s to early 1900s but theres probably someone using one right now on a single bottom horse drawn plow.

Interesting, this place isn't on the 1900 USGS map, which I had taken to mean already abandoned. I like hearing someone is using one today, not many things you can say that about. Thanks for your help.

Are you sure its not a bottom piece to a quiver for a bow?
It loomk to small for the plow dilly?
Is it aluminum?

From being around old farm equipment. There was a row of old farm implements and an old weathered barn full of parts on our farm. Most of it was from the previous owner who had farmed the place since the 20's. My parent's bought the farm when he retired in the early 60's.
