Default Gold pirate treasure coin? help!

Just stumbled upon this site today! Found this coin actually a few years ago and haven't had anyone be able to tell me exactly what it is. I've been told everything from 1500s to 1800s and everything from roman to pirate. Coin is definitely not stamped and was somehow molded as it is not the same thickness throughout. any help would be appreciated!

It looks like a Copy you'd find in a gift store, it's not Roman. The last picture really makes it look fake. I hope it is the real deal for your sake!!

Yes, I have also been told that it is a Spanish coin as well. Like i said I've done alot of research on it and found a decent amount of coins close to it but nothing definite. My best guess from what I've been told is 1500's Spanish, but I could definitely be wrong.

Typically if a coin like that is cast, it's a forgery.

It may have been stamped and then tumbled around in the sand for a few hundred years and the edges were rounded off.

Take it to a jeweler for a gold test.

Throughout my research I have brought it to a few different jewelers and had it tested, it is solid 22K from what they have told me. I found it about 8 inches deep under about 3 feet of salt water off the southern US (gulf of mexico). The gold content is definitely there I just dont have a date or origin for the coin itself.

If it's 22K, then it's probably authentic. Looks like it's been worn appropriately by nature. That is an amazing find. Priceless really.

It looks like a copy, i believe those real coins were hammered, not moulded, you can test the gold content with acids with tiny scratch on a testing stone, try and find someone to test it for you for free, if its not pure gold then its a copy, just hope its gold, it does remind me of the copies you can get with detectors or the copy coins in florida called pirate treasure copies that dont have the copy written on them
