Considering all the pieces of fulgurite I pass by while detecting, the beach definitely ranks up there in the list of bad places to be in a lightning storm.

One time, I was detecting on the beach in the rain, and I could have sworn I could feel my metal detector vibrating... thought I was going to get stuck any second... God didn't want me that day.
