Well, I found this about two feet away from the thimble ring I posted in the soil of our dooryard. 1853 quarter with arrows and rays... The odd thing is that the quarter is in such great condition... it must have been dropped the same month it was minted and escaped monetary circulation... there's barely a mark on it after 155 years. Also found some 19th C. buttons.... Still have half the area left to dig and getting closer to the door where I'll hopefully find some more cool and interesting things...
