Default Good day in the woods... Old Relics Coins & Gold

Went for a bit of a drive today to scout out 2 old wooded sites. I wasnt sure if they were going to be huntable. But both sites produced! Ill be going back for sure.. Tough swining with all the tree growth but the trees kept some goodies up twoards the top..Anyone know what the wolf thingy is? The diamond cluster is sweet but I think they are "glass diamonds." Still a cool find. 2 of the rings are fake. 1 is not. Still surprised about finding all the jewlery in the forest-must have been a hot spot back in the day.. The top three coins are wheats and below is a 1889 IH and a 1913 Buff..and a few more knifes to add to my collection...So yeah not a bad kick off to the season. Ill be heading back out to both sites to slow down and find the silver I hurried over today Happy Hunting!

Nice finds. Wish my woods hunts were that productive.

Merry Widows, and a boy scout ring and girls rings.

I wonder what kind of a merit badge he was working on...

You say arrowhead region for your location, where might that be.

I am going to hit the woods in my area soon, hope I find half that much.

You must of hit upon an old boy scout camp site.

RDW- Im up in Duluth, MN...Im not sure if it was an old camp or not.. I do know there was a lot of activity at both sites 50-150 years go...It looks like the boyscout bolo is from the 50s and the nice ring is a 14k white gold mothers ring with 5 birth stones.

MN, OK, I was in Atlanta last year during what to me was real cold weather and another guy was there in short sleeved shirt and shorts. I said man are you crazy, he said no I'm from northern Minnesota, this is like spring time to me...

Yeah I think I found a historical nookie spot. Funny thing about the 3 Merry Widows...The lady pointed out the bottom of the tin is stuck into the top of the tin, like it was set aside for re-use..They were reusable back then.
