went back to that elementary school to start on the back yard grass! When I got there, it was covered with kids in the playgrounds and teen boys playing basket ball. Had dug about 3 dimes when the kids finally noticed me....started following me and asking the typical questions.

I kept working as I talked to them...couple of real little ones about 3 1/2 to 4 years old I am guessing in the pack. Worked the best I could with them hovering about and after about 45 minutes the older boys left and started playing basketball on the other end of the court from the bigger kids...then I hit a few more coins and looked into the swingset area...no one in there on the swings so I headed into the mulch. Dug a few deep coins including a quarter in there, but mostly pennies. Near the end of the hunt, a fellow walked up and began to tell me he is trying to learn how to to use his MD which he got recently at a local pawn shop for a bargain price. He could not remember the brand name or model. Asked the typical newbie questions and watched me dig a few coins, one of which was right where he was standing when he first walked up to chat with me. After he left the kids began to swarm again so I worked my way over towards my car, and finally at the edge of the grass, bid them good bye and packed it in for the evening...an hour and 30 minutes of all the background noise was all KT could handle!
KT will get back to the site when no kids are on it and finish up the grass hunt in the near future. There were 25 coins for $1.17 in Royal Tax Collections!
Pic shows that all but the nickels were old drops, nickels were right on the surface...one was seen before hit with the detector!
