Default This is what I get for one weeks worth of hunts

Now remember, I have been hunting my property for nearly three years now. This is a picture of everything I have found, this week alone.

With all of this I found 1 new penny, an axe head and a buckle from 1871... Everything else was junk and I only dig about 1% of my signals.

Enjoy,

Mike

I went through and cleaned up the mess and these are the items that I will keep, my wife hates me for keeping this stuff, but I enjoy its company. I throw everything I keep into my old Army foot locker.

The item on the lower right, might be a padlock covered in rust, could this happen? When inspecting it up close and from all angles, it sure looks like one.

Default We don't need no stinking padlocks

I think it is George Washington's false teeth. History tells us they were wooden but by golly, I think you found the genuine article.

I know I am weird but I look at that pile and I am quite intrigued.

I am just getting back into this hobby and even though I say 'coins' are my goal, I enjoy digging up old 'relics' and rusty stuff.

Only if each piece could tell a story...

I am seriously thinking of investigating the 'electrolysis' process and maybe a parts to washer.

How to hide my growing collection from my wife is also high on the list.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

If that's only 1% of the targets, then get to work,, just think of all the treasure you're missin out on with the other 99%,,,

I can't seem to dig the deep targets though.. Whenever it reads 10"+, I can never recover anything.

Default LOL treasure

Man I dig up so much Canslaw and tabs and caps. In the last 2 days I found 2 dimes and 7 Zincolns and I threw out 4 3lb coffee cans full of mostly small aluminum scrap? I'm sure I threw out more than .27 cents worth of scrap!!! What is aluminum scrap at per pound these days??? Good Luck and Happy Hunting.....

Dang, if that doesn't look like some of my hunts. Must be something about the state.

The only things I see missing are the 9mm bullets and casings. Don't you get them down there?

That is a LOT for just 1%. Even my junkiest spots don't have that much trash buried. Though I have been weeding out the iron based hits on my detector.

According to those new detecting shows you could probably retire if you sell that pile of relics...
