Default 3-18-2012 Afternoon hunt, couple of keepers

Dug lots of trash, some interesting relics/artifacts, sort through it another time. Lot of zinc, three quarters, one wheat, and a 1966 Bahama penny. It's a quarter size penny, and at 8-9 inches, thought it was going to be silver, until I got it cleaned off a little.

Found two necklass in the alley, about a block away from my house. One is sort of a beaded thing, the other is a chain, kind of heavy, looks like it was run over a few times. Will get pictures up later. Don't think there is any silver there. Both were eyeball/surface finds.

Cup holder was for beer, but need to find an insulated one, got warm too quick. I was going to use a smaller bucket, but the plastic was brittle from sitting outside. I need to add a container for coins and the more valuable finds. Debating drilling drain holes, so the sand can empty out, or replacing the bottom with mesh. The downside, would be bringing dirt into the house. Maybe cut the bottom off another bucket for a cover. It's been pretty comfortable to carry and work out of. Can tell at a glance, if I've got all my tools, before moving on. Too hot here in Florida to wear a lot of pockets. Thought about a backpack, but nothing really looked like it would last long. Plastic buckets are cheap/free, wouldn't take 15 minutes to switch to a new one.
