detector purchase help

I have been looking and comparing different metal detectors and have come to the conclusion I have no idea which one to get. I have an old garrett ace 250 and am looking to upgrade, I would like to find a good overall machine with the following.. 1. Good coin machine, 2. waterproof coil for the beach, 3. can find some gold nuggets. The price range is 1700 or less. Thanks for your help in advance.
