Default Drizzly Day - Deep Targets

I don't know what happened. It was supposed to rain in the morning and then get sunny and warm in the afternoon but it was just a dreary drizzly day but the drizzle didn't stop me. An hour into the hunt the heavy rain came and put an end to this day.

This was a park I hunted before in an old town with lots of Victorian houses around it. I previously found lots of wheat pennies from the teens and 20's but not much silver (only one silver Washington quarter). I was determined to find more silver in a different part of the park.

Really deep 11 inch silver that was bouncing all over the place on the target ID, 22-46, 23-47, 11-47, 12-46 but sounded good all around the coin.

Another deep silver 8-9 inches and more bouncy target IDs, 12-45, 11-46, 12-43, 22-45 but solid sounding around the coin.

8 inch deep wheat

This poor excuse of a wheat penny is from the teens.
I can read 191? but can't read the last digit.
It was 10 inches deep.

Congrats on those finds!! Glad you were able to make it out today. It was misty and drizzling rain here most of the day.

Congrats!!

I got skunked by digging a 13inch 1967 clad quarter. Same type of bouncing signal. Tom checked it on his F75LTD and his machine pinpointed it at 13 inches and it pegged my depth meter.

I thought it would be colonial haha.
