Ace 350 Out of stock

I decided to get my father a Ace 350 for his birthday, along with a YF-1 probe. Since I have always used KellyCo in the past I decided to purchase the detector from them. I ordered the probe from Hollandsbrook. Hollandsbrook did have the Ace 350, but I figured I would keep my business with the same place I had always used.

I received an email the next afternoon letting me know that the Ace 350 was out of stock. They were expecting a shipment from the manufacture, but they had no date as to when it was expected.

I was a bit disappointed, because the probe has already shipped and should be arriving tomorrow. But, in all fairness I do understand that items run out of stock.

However, what I didn't understand is that they were still selling these detectors on their website even though they knew they were out of stock and they did not have an expected date that a new shipment would arrive.

I gave them a call, and as always they were super nice. After some explaining, the representative said she could check and see if she could get the manufacture to drop ship a detector. As I was typing this, she called back and said that she was back in the shipping department and they got a shipment of Ace 350's in today and will be sending the orders today or tomorrow.

So in the end everything worked out, and I was happy with the customer service. I would however like to recommend that anyone ordering a detector call and make the order rather than using the website, as it seems there might be a slight disconnection where the right hand is unaware of what the left hand is doing.
