Default First silver 2012

well after only my 3rd day running the E-trac it finally came through!
after alot of help from fellow members on learning my new machine I went back out to my side yard...which has been hit hard last year by my ACE250 and produced silver and wheats. about ten minutes in I got that short "scream" in my headphones looked at the screen and it was reading 11-45 steady at 12" so I dug and right at about 12" there was my first Merc of the year! it's so wet I had to get it out before the hole filled up.
after that I hit what I thought was a silver baby spoon, but turned out to be aluminum.
next signal bounced between 15-43 and 12-44 at 10" so I decided to dig anyway...about eight inches down a big piece of foil so in dissapointment I stood up and rescanned the hole before filling...12-44 steady! dug down another 2" and found a 58 wheaty this is why I bought the E-trac...it saw that penny through the foil!

Congrats on the Merc and your first silver of 2012! Looks like a pretty high water table there!

I told you there was silver there...that makes the twenty something silver coin out of my yard alone.
Can't give you an exact count...my wife while cleaning last month threw away my log book from last year I went out and bought a new one yesterday. I use a day planner and write in where I searched, how long, and my finds...along with the clad total for each day out, this helps add it up at the end of every month.
