Today was a great day. I went out with another forum member Dougpound again and it didn't disappoint. All in all we stopped at 3 locations. I knew the day was going to go good when the first dug signal of the day turned out to be a war time nickel. Second find of the day was a wheat penny... Started off good.
After a little slow period I found my first gold ring. 10k yellow gold. No damage at all on it. Only about 3" down on the first base line of an old baseball field.
All in all today I found 1-10k gold ring, 1-gold plated ring, 1-wheat penny, 1-1943 nickel, 4-quarters, 12-dimes and 19-pennies... I am more excited about the gold ring then anything.
Thank you for looking.. I gotta say though that metal detecting has been very rewarding this February. Especially for only doing it for two months total. Between the Morgan, the Barber, 30 wheat pennies, 1 Indian head and 5 war nickels I am addicted lol.
