Found this coin in a field in Norway this morning. Its not norwegian. Thin and about 30mm in diameter. Think I can read this letters on it S.GEORG____EO ____PATRODUS. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Could be S.GEORGIU_____EQV____M.PATRODUS

Seems like the text is S.GEORGIVS EQVITVM PATRONUS latin and meens St. George Patron of Riders. look like it is a picture of a knight fighting a dragon (or something). Could look like have been goldplated. Anyone?

Tried to search and there are some possibilities...
Anything on the other side? Also you could try to get sharper pics..if you have a scanner try it instead of using a camera. Is there a ship on the other side with text " In tempestate securitas"? If so, then it is a token based on Hungarian half ducat that was issued between 1600-1800. Voriax |
