Talking new spot gives up some silver

Went out a new spot today, armed with mini cam...dohhhh, apparently i used the mode button instead of the record button... Three silver digs missed and a couple wheats..

Anyway I managed to recover 2 rosies, 1 merc, 16 wheats, 15 lincolns and 3 clad qtrs. 3 clad dimes. apparently I am getting a little better at picking my spots.

The wheats came in 12:44 and the dimes @ 12:47 two dimes were in the same hole.. Sweet surprise when I pulled one out stood up swept it again and the etrac sounded off again.

clad on the left. cept for the qtrs

Nice finds, congrats! Is that merc splitting in half or is that the angle playing tricks with my eyes?

Very nice.

Winter is driving me nuts. Hopefully we will have an early thaw this year. I've researched so many old places to hunt that my
Google Earth looks like a field of tulips in yellow push pins lol.

I want silver ladies!

thasnks Captain, this was a 50 x 100 spot in the front yard. But i doubt the rest of the yards will produce much.. i seem to come up empty in the sides and backs of the places i hunt.

Yeah, if you're hunting old yards, the front yard is the place to look first. Second would be wherever Mom could see the kids playing from the kitchen window. The few yard hunts I've done went exactly like that. Try under the clothesline as well...

I started at the clothes line. Thought for sure I would hit something, when I Didn't i started to think well, someone has been here. I found the bulk of this stuff very near a row of azaleas they pulled up that were very overgrown.. it is likely it has been hit before just no access to the spot with the bushes in the way.
great tip on the kitchen window thing..I'll check it out soon.
