Default It finally arrived!

We came home from a price club run and picking up our daughter from pre-school and saw a fisher labs box sitting on the stoop. Man I couldnt wait. Put the F2 together with the eight inch coil on it, performed an air test and hit a tot-lot for about a half hour. Had four solid hits. Dug up a pull tab, memorial cent and two quarters. We couldnt stay longer cause it was getting dark and our kids were getting a little cold. I am going to try to go out as much as possible. Its gonna kill me if I dont get out before the weekend. I think i'm gonna love this machine

Default Cool

Glad you have your MD now and have started hunting. I got my MD early December and hunted 3 days before I found my first pulltab, You would have thought I found a big gold nugget I was so happy. on my fourth day I found my first zincoln and on my fifth day found my second zincoln. I had hundreds of Tabs and bottle caps by then. My sixth hunting day I hit a newer totlot and around a bench found 2 dimes, 1 nickle, and 7 Zincolns. I haven't found anything older that 1979 to this day. I also found 2 shotgun head stamps and some slightly thicker than Can stock scraps of copper, and a small pile of cool looking aluminum pieces. I think they were beer cans or soda cans that melted in a camp fire? I started collecting old types or uncommon pull Tabs and have some I think are cooler looking. We have a Few nice days (low 70s) starting tomorrow and I have some better sites I'm going to search. One is an at least 20 years ago, filled in swimming pool in what is now an old run down townhouse development, that was probably a nice place way back when it was new. The Old Pool is also next to an old basketball court. Anyway Good Luck and Happy Hunting....:digginahole :

Congrats on the new detector A-T. Maybe we can get some of the other LI together for a hunt when the weather gets nicer.
