How do I maximize cash for this ring?

Found this ring on the beach. My kitchen scale says it's 16 grams (1/2 ounce) and it's 22K. My question is, would I get more for this by selling it as a ring, or just selling it for its weight in gold?

(I did search for the owner based on the inscription, but no luck at all!).

PS - my first big find!
