So i created a thread about how the damage came about, everyone seemed to think fire was the cause.
http://metaldetectingforum.com/showthread.php?t=96407 well i took the coin to work as i am a machinist and have an arbor press on hand....light pressure sandwiched between two rags and i flattened it out without damaging it anymore than it already is well some detail popped out at my eye and i possibly picked up the 43 and by the size and location i believe it to be a seated half ill post a pic you let me know if I'm correct. I find it funny i work with metal all day long only to come home with the urge to find more. |

Shine a flashlight on it sideways so you get some shadows. You mav be able to get some detail.

I agree....more photos needed. Maybe try some in black and white or different tones, sometimes it helps.
